Based in Indianapolis, we are a small but passionate team of designers dedicated to crafting homes that reflect the lives within them.   • Founder & Principal Designer

    With an eye for timeless design and a passion for creating meaningful spaces, Sunshine Brooks founded Shine Design Interiors in 2007. Drawing on a natural instinct for styling and a deep appreciation for how design shapes daily life, she has grown Shine Design from a solo venture into a respected interior design studio and storefront serving clients across Indianapolis and beyond.

    Sunshine’s approach is rooted in intentionality, warmth, and livability. Her designs effortlessly blend traditional and modern influences, favoring natural materials, layered textures, and clean, calming palettes. Before launching Shine Design, Sunshine honed her skills in retail design and visual merchandising — experiences that continue to influence her ability to curate spaces with both beauty and function in mind.

    As Principal Designer, Sunshine leads with both creativity and collaboration, working closely with clients and team members to deliver interiors that feel personal, grounded, and enduring.

    Jennifer brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and logistical expertise to her role at Shine Design Interiors. With a background in customer service and sales — and the real-world experience of managing a busy household — she excels at balancing form and function to create spaces that are both beautiful and highly livable.

    Since joining Shine Design three years after its founding, Jennifer has played a key role in supporting the studio’s growth and refining its client experience. Her strengths lie in spatial planning, project management, and problem-solving, and she approaches each design challenge with thoughtfulness and precision. Clients appreciate her ability to listen deeply, interpret their needs, and deliver solutions that are as practical as they are stylish.

    With a sharp eye for layout, strong organizational instincts, and a passion for thoughtful design, Jennifer ensures that every project runs smoothly — from initial concept to final installation.

    Emily brings a fresh, editorial perspective to Shine Design Interiors, with a background that bridges both creative content and interior styling. A lifelong design enthusiast, she began honing her aesthetic early and launched a home design blog in 2010 that quickly gained national attention. Her work has since been featured in publications such as IKEA Family Magazine, the New York Times best-seller Lovable, Livable Home, and several leading design platforms.

    Since joining Shine Design in 2015, Emily has become known for her refined eye, attention to detail, and intuitive sense of style. She’s particularly passionate about curating finishes, furnishings, and decor that bring warmth, texture, and personality into each space. Her approach is grounded in authenticity — blending form and feeling to create interiors that are both visually striking and deeply livable.

    Emily’s ability to translate a client’s story into a cohesive, elevated design experience makes her an essential part of the Shine Design team.

    Lily plays a vital role in bringing the studio’s aesthetic to life — both behind the scenes and on the showroom floor. With a natural talent for styling, visual storytelling, and composition, she ensures that every corner of Shine Design Home reflects the warmth, intention, and curated beauty the brand is known for.

    Lily has an exceptional eye for layering, scale, and detail, and her approach to visual merchandising transforms the shop into an inspiring, ever-evolving space. Her ability to pair textures, tones, and finishes with ease makes her a go-to resource for both clients and team members seeking styling insight and creative direction.
